- Can my child take classes whenever he/she wants and what type of commitment is expected?

Yes, we do have a mandatory dress code. This dress code is available at the front desk and on-line.
- Do you have a recital?
Yes, Oceanside Dance Academy ends their 44-week program with a fun, high-energy recital. The recital allows students the chance to display what they have learned throughout the year. All students’ participation in the recital is optional. O.D.A.’s recital is well known for the excellent entertainment and is highly regarded in the community.
- Am I allowed to watch my child in class?
Yes, all classes have a 2 way viewing window for parents to watch through. Additionally we have tv monitors in the front lobby waiting area. Parents of pre-school children are encouraged to stay during their children’s class to watch.
- Is registration required in order to take classes?
Our classes are open and you may sign into any class you wish on the day of the class according to your level of experience. To take a class, come to the studio sign-in desk at least 10 minutes prior to the start of a class and tell us what class you’d like to take. Fill out the liability form, pay the registration fee, and tuition is pro-rated.
- How do I know which level of class to take?
We recommend taking a level that is lower for the following reasons: you may be unfamiliar with a teacher’s style, classes may be harder than what you are accustomed, and you might want to acclimate yourself to new surroundings. If you haven’t danced in many years, you’ll want to reintroduce your body and muscles slowly. Remember, if you’ve chosen a class that is not best for you, we will happily switch you to another class.
- What if I am late for class?
Generally students will not be admitted into class 15 minutes after the class start time. This is to ensure proper warm-up, reduce injuries, and ensure class etiquette. Management also reserves the right to refuse any individual entry onto the premises or class at any time, per their discretion.
